Ohio Order for the Preservation of Storytelling

Supporting the art of storytelling throughout Ohio.

Hello Everyone,

I just wanted to share the exciting news that I have a new book and DVD out!! The book, O Christmas Tree, is my third children's book and released just in time for the holidays. In addition to the book itself, I'm also offering interactive storytelling performances of it where I play the role of Treena the Christmas Tree, complete with full-body tree suit! :)

My DVD film is called, Flight to India, and for those of you who have experienced my interactive storytelling performances, it's basically a film version of the same. Only this time, I'm an eccentric babysitter who uses stories to address the issues being dealt with by the kids I'm babysitting. All the while there is an emphasis on creativity, imagination and the power of stories.

See below for the covers of both of these items as well as synopses and a link to the film trailer.  Both would make for a fun gift for any children in your life, so I hope you'll check them out! They can both be ordered at Amazon or directly through me. To learn more, you can also visit my website: www.lindsaybonilla.com

Thanks so much, and Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!!

Lindsay Bonilla

Synopsis:

Young Leah and older brother Adam expect an uneventful afternoon as their mother prepares to leave them with a new babysitter. But when Lindsay shows up, their day gets interesting. Upon learning that Adam is in a bad mood due to friend troubles, Lindsay is reminded of a story she learned in India. While Leah is eager to hear it, Adam is less than enthusiastic. His negative attitude prompts Lindsay to tell the story in a remarkable way. Turning their living room into an airplane and drawing the children's unsuspecting friends into the adventure, Lindsay whisks them away to India through the power of imagination, bringing the famous Indian folktale, “The Monkey and the Crocodile,” to life with the help of items from her unusual traveler's bag. In the process, she teaches Adam and the others an unforgettable lesson about true friendship and the power of storytelling.
