Weekend conference

Tom and I had a great time at the conference this weekend. It was wonderful to make new friends and we felt so welcomed by the group. I have to tell you that we stopped in Roscoe Village on the way home, and I found Miss Cadenza's mink wrap in an antique shop at a reasonable price. It's now hanging upstairs. No rabies shots yet.

I am pleased to see we have reached new members, assuming that you do plan to join OOPS!, in far Eastern Ohio. I will look forward to meeting you at OOPS! Conference in 2011. Might you consider sending in a workshop proposal? We love to hear from new voices and points of view. Too bad you have a conflict for the Nov. 6th Regional meeting, especially since it is a lot closer to you than where we usually meet. Your conflict is certainly an interesting and worthy one that I would like to hear more about. There surely are some stories you have gathered through your work with this group. Jonatha

Hi Judy, Nice to meet another Ohio Storyteller! What city? As someone new to this new website, and storytelling, you may not know about our organization: OOPS! We serve all of Ohio, surrounding states, and any who just want to join us. Dues are modest, at $15 per year. We have a conference each year, the upcoming one is April 29, 30, May 1, in Mt. Vernon, OH. We have a quarterly newsletter. We have Regional meetings twice a year to meet our members and recruit. Our next regional is Nov. 6 in Athens, OH, library. Another service for members is a page on the OOPS website. You can see that we have a lot to offer members, please join. Plus, we want to meet you, and to hear your stories! And we want to keep you on this website! Sincerely Jonatha Wright, OOPS! President
