OOPS Conference 5th at 1st Congregational Methodist Church

Weekend conference

Tom and I had a great time at the conference this weekend. It was wonderful to make new friends and we felt so welcomed by the group. I have to tell you that we stopped in Roscoe Village on the way home, and I found Miss Cadenza's mink wrap in an antique shop at a reasonable price. It's now hanging upstairs. No rabies shots yet.

Getting started

I'm new to the storytelling world and so far I'm having lots of fun. I had the opportunity to perform as a local teller at the 2010 Three Rivers Storytelling Festival in Pittsburgh, PA, and it was a wonderful time to stretch my wings.At this stage in my life, I feel like I have had a window opened to me for a new career. My stories include tall tales, new tales and old, and stories about people, places and events that should not be forgotten.
I am available for school groups, clubs and other organizations, as well as working with students to develop their own stories.

Storytelling in St. Clairsville

Too bad you have a conflict for the Nov. 6th Regional meeting, especially since it is a lot closer to you than where we usually meet. We serve all of Ohio, surrounding states, and any who just want to join us. Dues are modest, at $15 per year. We have a conference each year, the upcoming one is April 29, 30, May 1, in Mt. Vernon, OH. We have a quarterly newsletter. We have Regional meetings twice a year to meet our members and recruit. Our next regional is Nov. 6 in Athens, OH, library. Another service for members is a page on the OOPS website. You can see that we have a lot to offer members, please join. Plus, we want to meet you, and to hear your stories!
