Hi OOPS! Members, Storytellers and Story Lovers!
Currently I am serving as your Presidents, until May 2011 Conference. During these last few months, I am hoping to see most members on this website with their own page, and commenting about storytelling and OOPS! on a regular basis. I will be sending out quarterly newsletters on line, the next one will come in October. If you did not get the July newsletter, it is because I either did not have your email address, or I did not have the information that you are an OOPS! member, so that I could mail out that last snail mail newsletter. Another activity that I hope to entice you to attend our the Regional OOPS! meetings we have on schedule. This is an effort to come to you, and encourage storytellers in your region to join OOPS! The first Regional will be on Saturday, November 6th, 1:00 PM, at the public library in Athens, Ohio, in the SE Region. For additional information, contact Donna Wilson. Finally, I am, along with the entire OOPS Board, planning a terrific April 29-30 through May 1 Conference at Mt. Vernon. Our featured teller is Babba Jamal Koram. We hope to see you there for a terrific experience in storytelling!! Jonatha

Yes I do still want to join. . I'll try to get my check in the mail today. . I hope it arrives by the 1st. At any rate, I just found out about OOPS so please don't cancel my page if my check is a few days late as I have just been very busy!

Hi Jonatha,

I doubt I'll be able to make it to the meeting on Nov. 6th as I'm pretty far away, but I do hope to make it to the conference. . the dates are April 29th-May 1st? Is that correct? Let me know b/c I'll want to block them off way ahead of time! Also, as for the workshop proposal, I'd be very interested, but I'd need a lot more information. Could you let me know how much time the workshop lasts, what some past workshops have covered, and any other pertinent information (including deadline for the proposal, etc.) so I can think about it? Also, I'm very interested in learning from the teller we have coming as well as others.. so if I did a workshop, would I still have time to attend those presentations as well? I look forward to hearing from you! Thanks!

Oh, my, do I have stories from FOT (as we call it). We're in a new location this year and had a major sponsor stomp off in a snit about the new location, so I'll fill you in!

Thank you! I'm in St. Clairsville, waaaay out on the eastern border, just about 6 miles from the Ohio River. I'm afraid I won't make the confab in Athens (I chair a Festival of Trees for Big Brothers Big Sisters, and we're starting our setup that weekend) but I do plan to attend the main conference in Mt. Vernon. I'm looking forward to meeting fellow tellers in the state.
